Visit the mediaeval cities of Lincoln or York, call in on the historic churches at Beverley or Selby (or at numerous towns and villages throughout the area). Take a shopping trip to the City of Hull or explore its quayside and maritime history or visit the races at Doncaster, York, Beverley or Market Rasen.
Sample the views and villages of the Yorkshire or Lincolnshire Wolds, or travel a little further to the Yorkshire Dales. Or follow the Bronte trail. Perhaps take a trip from Pickering on the North York Moors Railway or perhaps go to a seaside town like Scarborough or Whitby, or a fishing village such as Robin Hood's Bay or Staithes.
